We fell in love in our teens at summer church camp. I (Mica) won Bev’s affection quickly by buying her a Snickers bar and a Dr. Pepper everyday–that and I do a pretty mean Kermit-the-frog impression. Bev caught my eye as the most beautiful girl around. The icing on the cake was her deep devotion to God and passion to know Him. She was the first woman to challenge me to know Him more deeply. She made me a better man, and I knew that I could not live a life without her!

We dated for a year and were married in 1991. We were 19 and 20. Crazy we know, but we were young and in love. What could possibly be hard about this marriage gig, right?

Having married so early in life, we worked each other through college. And yes, our marriage survived!
